Martín Sánchez-Jankowski, Chair of ISSI's Center for Ethnographic Research, has been promoted to Distinguished Professor, reaching the highest echelon of the UC Berkeley professoriate. Promotion to Distinguished Professor is reserved for faculty whose "research has attained national and international recognition and broad acclaim reflective of its significant impact; teaching performance is excellent; and service is highly meritorious."
