When Empathy is Chosen, Jail Returns Decline

ISSI's Center for Research on Social Change faculty affiliate Jason Okonofua is featured in Berkeley News. Okonofua discusses the methods and implications of his study, recently published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, that found that empathy-trained supervision officers could better deter their clients from returning back to jail.
