Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless named Jeffrey Schonberg, Berkeley Center for Social Medicine faculty affliate, as a G.G. Greenhouse Community Hero. Schonberg received the award for his work as part of Wood Street Advocates, an organization of unhoused and housed people who have worked to build a vibrant and resistant community at the Wood Street encampment in Oakland and to promote the safety and well-being of the most vulnerable.
