A new article in International Journal of the Sociology of Knowledge was co-authored by Patricia Baquedano-López, faculty affiliate of ISSI's Center for Research on Social Change and member of ISSI Advisory Committtee. The authors show that elementary school students’ strategies for learning and stewarding their Indigenous language offer examples of Indigenous resurgence and futurity as the young generation reclaims language in acts of transnational sovereignty.
