Stacy Torres, faculty affiliate of Berkeley Center for Social Medicine, published an op-ed on the UC academic workers' strike. Sharing her own financial struggles during her time as a postdoctoral scholar and urging greater pay for these workers, Torres noted, "A new generation of struggling academic workers face hard choices amid escalating economic burdens and soaring inflation."
