Stacy Torres, ISSI faculty affiliate, wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post about the shortcomings of support for family caregivers, especially among women and racial and ethnic minorities, and the inequalities this neglect brings forth. The essay draws on her recent experiences caring for her father as he died from metastatic lung cancer and connects to current discussions around family infrastructure funding in Washington.
