Repair work in raced welfare capitalism

While a Visiting Scholar at the Berkeley Center for Social Medicine, Tine Hanrieder conducted research on community health workers in the United States. An article based on that research was just published in New Political Economy. Highlighting the gendered and raced inequalities of US welfare capitalism, Hanrieder shows how community health workers, mostly women, sustain individuals and communities through repair work.
