Elaine Kim, faculty affiliate of ISSI's Asian American Research Center, discusses her experiences as Berkeley's first tenured Asian woman and as a founding member of the Ethnic Studies Department and the Asian American and Asian Diaspora Studies program. In addition, Kim expresses her thoughts on the representation of the AAPI community while also sharing the struggles she faced in her activism.
