Racial Health Inequities and Climate Change

The logo of the New England Journal of MedicineRachel Morello-Frosch, faculty affiliate of Berkeley Center for Social Medicine, and Osagie Obasogie have a new article in the New England Journal of Medicine diving into the climate gap. While climate change poses a threat to all planetary life, the authors discuss how formerly colonized countries who contribute the least greenhouse-gas emissions end up as the most threatened by the multiple risks of global warming. They highlight the deficiency in resources that can combat the forces and long-term impact of climate change.
