Emily Thompson, grad student affiliate of the Center for Ethnographic Research, has received funding from UCLA Library's Modern Endangered Archives Program for her project "(Dis)appearing Images: Archiving the Peruvian Internal Armed Conflict." As part of her dissertation research, Emily works to collaboratively preserve and digitize unpublished photographs from Ayacucho, the epicenter of Peru's internal armed conflict (1980-2000).
