The Matter of Black Lives across the Americas

The cover of a recent issue of Comparative Education ReviewISSI Graduate Student Alice Taylor is first author on a new article in Comparative Education Review examining the relationship between Black social movements in Brazil and the United States through over a century of formations of struggle. The authors argue that understanding the contemporary moment of antiracist struggles requires examining the historical, nuanced relationship between US and Brazilian Black activism while understanding how these movements served as an educator for both societies.
