Naniette Coleman, ISSI grad student in residence and PhD Candidate in Sociology, wrote this op-ed in The Sacramento Observer. Coleman argues that Prop 24, the California Privacy Rights Act, will help protect communities of color from online discrimination and racial profiling(link is external) because it allows consumers to bar businesses from using their Sensitive Personal Information, which includes a consumer's race or ethnicity. Proposition 24 was approved by voters.
