Lisa García Bedolla, faculty affiliate of ISSI's Center for Research on Social Change, wrote this op-ed in the San Francisco Chronicle. In this piece titled, "My brother is a disabled Gulf War vet. That didn’t stop the U.S. from deporting his wife," Bedolla highlights the failures of the immigration court system and discusses the shortcomings of the Biden administration in living up to their recent declaration to do right by people who fought for our country and their families.
