Court Abortion Ruling is an Assault on Women and Democracy

Friday’s Supreme Court decision will jeopardize the well-being of less-privileged people in red states, said UC Berkeley expert Khiara M. Bridges.In this Berkeley News interview, Khiara Bridges, faculty affiliate of ISSI's Center for Ethnographic Research and Berkeley Center for Social Medicine, discusses the harmful impact that the overturning of Roe v. Wade will have on unprivileged folks living in states that have long been seeking to abolish abortion. Bridges also shares her thoughts on the beliefs that contributed to the ruling in the first place and discusses the possible political effects the ruling may have on the electorate.
