Black Bioethics in the Age of Black Lives Matter

The journal cover for the Journal of Medical HumanitiesA new article in the Journal of Medical Humanities co-authored by Jennifer James, Berkeley Center for Social Medicine faculty affliliate, highlights the importance of Black Bioethics in putting Black people and their lived experiences at the forefront of scholarship on Black health. This article, a "collection of essays on intersectionality and Black identities and storytelling shows that the fight we see in #BlackLivesMatter and the resilience we saw in Black communities during the COVID-19 pandemic are lessons that bioethics cannot afford to ignore and must adopt to remain relevant in a politically and socially changing world."
