The California Reparations Report is a comprehensive document that details the harms experienced by African Americans in California due to slavery and its ongoing consequences and proposes a concrete reparations plan. It is the final report issued by the Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans; ISSI faculty affiliate Jovan Lewis is one of the task force members. In addition to providing information and guidance to the California Legislature, the report is also an excellent teaching, learning, and activism resource.
