Stacy Torres, ISSI faculty affiliate, published an op-ed in the San Francisco Chronicle reflecting on the mental health challenges she and millions of other Americans face. In this op-ed, Torres discusses the effectiveness of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and other crisis response hotlines and outlines ways how Congress can better support, fund, and implement crucial crisis response efforts.
