Tina Sacks, Assistant Professor of Social Welfare and Chair of ISSI’s Center for Research on Social Change (CRSC), researches racial discrimination across class and how it shapes experiences of health care as well as health outcomes. Her new  book, Invisible Visits: Black Middle-Class Women in the American Healthcare System (Oxford University Press) is featured in this Berkeley News article. Professor Sacks will be discussing her work at a CRSC event on April 2.
