Yasmín Landa is a doctoral student in the Clinical Science program at the University of California, Berkeley, mentored by Dr. Giovanni Ramos. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Washington. As an undergraduate, she was funded by the Ronald E. McNair Scholars and Mary Gates Research programs to conduct an independent project examining how social and physical inpatient experiences influence post-hospitalization treatment engagement. After graduation, she worked as a Research Study Coordinator at the School Mental Health Assessment, Research, and Training (SMART) Center with Drs. Aaron Lyon and Freda Liu. Her current research focuses on closing the research-to-practice gap to improve access to evidence-based mental health services for racially and ethnically minoritized communities, particularly Latinx, immigrant, and Spanish-speaking populations. She applies implementation science, community-engaged partnerships, data-driven cultural adaptations, and digital tools to advance equitable mental health care.
