Myers Center graduate student Cristina S. Méndez recently published two papers. "Against homogenizing Latinidad and indigeneity: a Chicana’s reflexión on thickening solidarities," published in the Journal for Multicultural Education, addresses the erasures of indigeneity and other differences within Latinidad.
Her co-authored paper "We Are Sanctuary—Chúng tôi là no’i trú ân—Somos santuario," published in the English Journal, is a resource for teachers as federal agents continue to infringe on the constitutional rights of immigrant communities.
