Joshua G. Acosta, an Asian American Research Center graduate student, published an article in the journal of Philippine Studies: Historical and Ethnographic Viewpoints. Josh's article, "The Island of Living Hope: Leprosy Eradication Publicity in the Late American Colonial Philippines," is part of a special issue on "health messaging." Across five essays, this issue examines the circulation of medical knowledge and health information spanning from the US colonial period in the early 20th century to the COVID-19 pandemic.
