Caitlin Patler wins an American Sociological Association Award

Caitlin Patler, Center for Research on Social Change faculty affiliate, received the 2025 Public Sociology award from the American Sociological Association International Migration section. Dr. Patler is an Associate Professor of Public Policy at the UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy and a sociologist whose research examines US immigration and criminal laws, legal statuses, and law enforcement institutions as drivers of socioeconomic and health disparities.
